Robin, the boyz, and me are not in harms way but are dealing with the smoke and heavy demands at our jobs. At the Hilton we offered a $99 rate for people who got evacuated along with their pets. The hotel sold out in less than 20 minutes!! I spent my morning setting up a kids room in one of our meeting rooms with coloring books, hoola hoops, bubbles, card games, and a tv that is showing kids programs so they don't have to watch all the fires. It was a small and easy thing to do so I encourage all other San Diegan's that have the opportunity do take 30 minutes and do something positive for those that are suffering.
Brian and Kymberli have been ordered to evacuate since yesterday and are not being let back into their home at least for a couple more days...keeping positive thoughts that they will still have a home to go back to!
Downtown, even though every hotel is booked full, looks like a ghost town...skies are filled with smoke and ash is everywhere.
Some words of advise for those who might be evacuated or for those out there that might someday go through this...put together a list and location of where the items are just in case you have to go through this...it should include things like medication, pets medications, insurance papers, pink slips, and most of all if in doubt just get the hell out!!! Material things can ALWAYS be replaced!!! your health can not!!!!
Well, that is it for now...keep us in your thoughts and anyone who reads this do something positive for somebody today!
